New mineral pigments: Kissho Shiniwa pigments are made by melting metal oxides and glass raw materials at a high temperature of about 700 degrees Celsius to develop color and create a rock shape.
This chemically created rock has a vivid color that surpasses that of natural materials, and a lineup of colors that exceeds the number of colors that exist in nature.
KISSHO's commitment to new mineral pigments is based on using the power of chemistry to respond to the expressiveness demanded by Japanese painters and artists.
Preserves beautiful colors: Mineral pigments used in Japanese paintings must have long-term durability. Kissho Shiniwa paints are chemically created using the glaze technology used in traditional ceramics, and are extremely durable and light-fast.
Lineup of 860 colors: There are only a limited number of colors that exist in nature. Kissho Shiniwa Enogu has a total of 86 colors, and by separating the particles into 10 stages, we have achieved a rich color palette of 860 colors. You can freely draw what you want without being limited by the number of colors.
Choose from 10 levels of particles: The 10 levels of particle classification are called counts, and there are numbers 5 to 15 and white numbers. The smaller the number, the larger the particles and the texture of rock, and the white number represents the finest grain.
The color will vary depending on the count. Kissho Shiniwa Paints are manufactured entirely by hand by skilled craftsmen using state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring stable quality.
