5xl was too small for me. I usually wear a UK size 18 top & bottom half. I could get into it but it was too tight around the nether regions. I am able to sew. I took the straps off,opened the fabric out and put a panel down the outside of each leg. I bought it for fancy dress as a 1940s style/ Land Girl so it will work for me. I'd say they are cropped. Mine appear shorter than on the photo shown, I'm 5 foot 6. They come to my mid calf when fully rolled down. I wish they did bigger sizes.
