Unfortunately I didn't notice the heel the boot has. I am 62 years old and have serious back problems. My doctor said it was really bad to wear those boots because of the small heel. It has to be a completely flat boot. I already looked and found some flat blue ankle boots.. The shoes smell a bit at first, but the smell quickly disappears. The shoes fit wonderfully. They look really good when worn and feel comfortable.
