Sore throat warning: If sore throat becomes severe, lasts more than 2 days, or is accompanied by fever, headache, rash, nausea, or vomiting, contact your doctor immediately. Do not take in the following cases: Do not take other medications (prescription or over-the-counter) that contain acetaminophen. If you are not sure whether your medicine contains acetaminophen, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Causes drowsiness in children. Use with other products containing diphenhydramine (even when used alone on the skin). In children taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) (medication for depression, mental or emotional conditions, and Parkinson's disease). If so, take it for 2 weeks after stopping MAOI medication. If you are not sure whether your child's prescription medication contains MAOIs, ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. If a child has any of the following symptoms, consult a doctor before use: Liver disease Heart disease Diabetes High blood pressure Thyroid disease Glaucoma Breathing problems, such as chronic bronchitis A persistent or chronic cough, such as that caused by asthma If a cough with too much phlegm (mucus) develops If a child: Consult your pharmacist. Product Directions: This product does not contain instructions for use or complete warnings for adults. Do not give more than the amount specified in the instructions (see Dosage Warnings).
